Like a lot of similar stories, this one also starts on a balmy evening in 2004, when a few like-minded people, over cups of tea, suddenly decided that it would be a really good idea to start off a cultural association. And this storm in a teacup has turned into the Poorva Bangalore Cultural Association of today.
To give people a chance to enjoy Indian culture through cultural events, social interactions and fun. To enable them with an opportunity to contribute towards social responsibility.
Provide a social networking platform to celebrate Indian culture with a view to embrace the less fortunate members of our society.
This association, since its inception, has grown by leaps and bounds. Being located in the IT corridor of Bangalore, the association has always attracted the gung-ho, expatriate young brigade of people who used to feel terribly homesick during the many festivities, but their on-the-job commitments used to keep them back. Poorva Bangalore Cultural Association endeavors to provide a slice of home away from home during the festivities
The Pooja is carried out in the most traditional atmosphere. We at PBCA believe in participation of all irrespective of caste creed and religion. The mid-day community bhog (Khichdri Bhog) reflecting the true taste of Bengal and the evening cultural extravaganza are our special attractions.
Poorva Bangalore Cultural Association has stepped into the 17th year of its invocation to Ma Durga. People from all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed & religion participate in the festivities. We at Poorva Bangalore Cultural Association believe in the same & people from all walks of life are welcomed to the Mandap year after year. The Puja is carried out in true traditional atmosphere. People from all parts of Bangalore come for the Puja & Pushpanjali.
